PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF BRIDGETTE JEFFERS My name is Bridgette Jeffers. I am Donnie Jeffers’ wife of 9 years. We met at his church 10 years ago. We were both lost at the time. We have very similar testimonies. I was raised in a “Christian” home. We were out of church as a family until I was about 8 or 9. My parents started to take us to church on Sundays to a Southern Baptist church. I remember going up during a bible school service. I followed the other girls up that I was sitting with. I also remember getting baptized. This started a long downhill spiral. My parents kept us in church pretty regularly, almost 100% faithful from there on out. I later joined the youth group. This became a lot of fun because we did a lot of things together on the weekends and even during the week. I had a lot of fun and loved to be there, but I never remember hearing a clear cut presentation of the gospel. In 1997, when I met Donnie, he was lost. However, his brother was dealing with him on the King James issue and he started telling me about. I didn’t think much of it for a long time, until about 7 months after I met Donnie. I had thought this whole time that Donnie was saved. He was faithful to his church. He was a good, clean guy. I just thought he was ok. Then, one night we went to his brother’s church for a play on “The Great White Throne Judgment”. He went to the altar and got saved. Well, this made me start thinking. He got me a KJV Bible. I started reading it. We started going to his brother’s church. About six months after all of this, I got saved. To be exact, it was September 26, 1998, in Gatlinburg, TN. We were going to ride the Tram in Gatlinburg up to Ober Gatlinburg. I couldn’t get on it. He kept asking me why. I avoided the question as long as I could, but the Lord kept dealing with me and I finally admitted to Donnie and Him that if I were to get on that Tram, it would fall, I would die and go to hell. I knew at that point for sure that I was lost and on my way to hell. I knelt at a huge rock on the side of one of the roads and asked the Lord to save me. I remember it like it was yesterday. The Lord has been so good to me and has never left me. He has given me a life verse. It is Lamentations 3:57: “Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee, thou saidst, “Fear not.”” I am so thankful for that day and I am especially thankful that no matter what I do or don’t do for Him, He is always there for me. No one has ever loved me or taken care of me like He has and I thank Him so much for it. I am also so thankful for the three wonderful children that God has blessed me with: Lukas, Addison and Aden. They are one of the best things He has given me. Since Donnie and I have met, and I have seen the importance of salvation for my family, we have confronted them about it. My parents and siblings all claim to be saved. My siblings’ spouses claim to be saved. However, we don’t see any proof of that. So, if you will, please remember my family in your prayers. We have witnessed to them and try to be an example to them, but they only seem to be hard and cold toward the Lord. Please pray for the Johnson and Creswell families. Thank you so much
